Cheers

Grace under fire – The victim of a horrific road rage incident on I-195 in Marion in which his car was fired upon with a pellet gun, a teenager with minimal driving experience stayed calm and steady at the wheel, all while noting and then reporting to police a description of the shooter and shooter’s car. His Dad told us he’s an Eagle Scout. We believe him.

Stepping up to the plate Dinner plate, that is. With many who have devoted their energy for years to Marion’s much loved end-of-summer Block Party now growing weary, a committee has stepped forward to carry on the tradition. Their willingness to pick up the torch guarantees residents, and especially children, that they’ll again be able to share a treasured end of summer event and a lot of wonderful food together.

Jeers

John Edwards - The former Democratic presidential hopeful paraded his cancer-stricken wife around like a prop while he was cheating on her behind her back. Then he told everyone that his suspected infidelity was nothing more than a political attack against a dedicated family man. Scumbag.

The Brockton Enterprise - One of their reporters plagiarized one of our Wareham Observer stories. It’s as plain as the nose on Pinocchio’s face. Instead of just fessing up and saying sorry, they’ve shamelessly tried to cover it up. If they thought an initial apology would hurt their credibility, this bumbling cover-up will cause far more damage to their reputation than that.
